Our operations are guided by international sustainability standards, such as the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

Environmental Responsibility – Towards Carbon Neutrality.
Climate responsibility is a key part of our sustainability strategy, and we are committed to reducing our energy consumption and carbon footprint through concrete actions. All our data centers and offices are gradually transitioning to carbon-neutral energy sources, and we are investing in energy-efficient data center equipment — measures that have already significantly reduced our energy use and emissions. Between 2020 and 2024, we successfully reduced our carbon footprint by 76%. In addition, we’ve planted a tree for every employee in a domestic carbon sink in Siikalatva, in collaboration with Wood Forest Finland. These actions support our long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality and contributing to a more sustainable future.


People and Wellbeing.
Employee wellbeing is a key part of our sustainability strategy. We invest in developing our work environment and practices to ensure our people can thrive, grow, and feel well. To support wellbeing and self-leadership, we offer trainings and info sessions, as well as regular leadership training for managers. Quarterly check-ins and one-on-one meetings further support job satisfaction and professional development. Our wide range of employee benefits promotes work-life balance and overall wellbeing.
Ethical and Transparent Governance.
Saarni Cloud’s governance model is built on ethical principles and transparent practices that guide the actions of our employees, partners, and suppliers. Everyone is committed to our Code of Conduct, and our personnel participate annually in mandatory training covering ethical practices and governance principles. We also maintain a whistleblowing channel that enables safe and confidential reporting of misconduct. Responsible and transparent governance strengthens stakeholder trust and ensures the sustainable development of our business.


Diversity and Inclusion.
Saarni Cloud is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of our company culture. We ensure fairness and non-discrimination in our recruitment processes by providing training for all employees involved in hiring. Every new employee is paired with a “Saarnibuddy” from another group company to support networking and a sense of belonging. Our internal communications are delivered in both Finnish and English to ensure accessibility in our international work community. In addition, we organize diversity training for all employees and leadership, offer the opportunity to donate blood during working hours, and support charitable causes through donations.

That’s why we invest in a diverse range of training opportunities covering topics such as quality management, ethics, and work-life skills, as well as responsible business training through the FIBS corporate responsibility network. Each employee has a personal growth plan to support individual development and career paths. We also promote internal recruitment to create new career opportunities and foster a feedback culture to ensure our practices meet the evolving needs of our people.
